Education at Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park in Sheffield

We place great emphasis on education at Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park, and that's why we offer a range of training programmes and events at our site in Sheffield. Volunteering: We do offer volunteer opportunities within the park. All volunteers must be 16 years or over and be working towards an animal related qualification or have desire to work within the animal sector. Please contact us for more details and to check availability. 

Bringing the Zoo to You

We also offer a ‘Zoo to You’ package if you would like animals to visit your educational establishment. We have qualified teachers with over 15 years of experience within the animal sector and so can tailor sessions to meet the current curriculum or any educational/therapy setting. The visiting animals can be selected from a range of large and small exotic species (a list will be provided on enquiry) depending on specific requirements of your session or the ability/age of students involved. Please note that all our staff are DBS checked.

Educational Visits                           

Educational Package 

1 hour classroom session followed by a 1 hour tour and animal interaction - £6.50 per student with 1 free adult per 5 paying pupils. All students and staff will have unlimited access to the park throughout the duration of their visit. Please note any extra adults will be charged at £6.50.
Taught sessions can be adapted in order to fit the specific requirements of each school or institute as well as level of learning, from nursery to further education and adult/community groups.
